I am was primarily interested in methods for the reconstruction of phylogenies, with a special interest in the use of phylogenies to study historical biogeography and co-evolution (host-parasite; plant-insect). Much of my time available for research projects is was spent developing methodological aspects of phylogeny reconstruction and implementing these in software and applying it to various data sets.
